Leadership Academy for Lincoln 10th and 11th Graders

DSCF8631.JPG

This Spring, up to seventy-five 10th- and 11th-grade students will camp overnight at Camp Wooten Retreat Center as part of Lincoln High School’s Leadership Academy.

Students will take part in small and large-group educational and group-building activities such as stargazing, geo-caching, hiking, plant identification, fishing, neuroscience, zoology and behavioral science, journaling, and traversing a low ropes course. Social-emotional learning and self-esteem building will also be a primary focus. Student work in this area will include talking circles, goal setting, trust games, and exercises in self-expression and leadership building.

Students will get to spend two nights at Camp Wooten strengthening their relationships with one another and with Lincoln staff. Many thanks to OSPI for funding this transformative program!
