You can provide for the educational futures of students in the Walla Walla Public Schools by making a gift – either today or in your will – to the Walla Walla Public Schools Foundation’s Endowment Fund.

 

This endowment is a permanently invested fund that will support excellent K-12 education in our district for years to come through an annual payout of investment earnings.

 

State funding only covers essentials

While Washington State is committed to providing tax dollars for the parts of education that are considered “essential,” state funding does not cover programs such as field trips, overnight camp experiences, and other special programs that are the highlight of the school year and boost attendance and engagement in school.

 

The Walla Walla Public Schools Foundation fills the funding gaps. Your support of the Endowment Fund ensures that funding will be available to fill those gaps for Walla Walla students forever.

 

Giving to the Walla Walla Public Schools Foundation is not giving directly to the school district – we are an independent, nonprofit organization, fiscally sponsored by the Blue Mountain Community Foundation. As such, we are compelled by law to use your donated dollars in the way you specify.
